Turn your yard into an exclusive showcase of your favorite hobbies with this innovative Home Bazaar Holiday Ski Chalet Bird House with LEDs. Situating this realistic, white and black shelter within your bird garden brings a celebratory wintertime look to the area, as well as a nod to classic snow activities. A red bench, door, and skis rest at the front of this unique shelter, bringing a bright hint and plenty of visual interest to the home. A green, fabric wreath and matching evergreen tree made from a bottle brush enhance the yuletide effect, thanks to red ornaments within the tree and a red bow on the wreath. White LEDs along the roof line bring brightness and cheer to the exclusive unit, and perfectly accentuate the black tone of the lapped, gabled roof. A 1.25" diameter opening sits on one side of the shelter, below the roof overhang, allowing birds to enter the chamber and safely roost. A drainage hole on this generous base ensures the nest remains dry, and a screen ladder encourages nestlings to climb out when ready. The significant back panel removes for nest checks and cleaning, and this section holds a plastic battery compartment inside a wooden frame. The plastic compartment here accommodates three AA batteries (not included), and has a switch allowing you to turn on the LEDs, or set the integrated timer for them to automatically illuminate for 6 hours and remain dark for 18. The wooden frame keeps the batteries separate from your feathered friends, and the plastic casement provides weather resistance. A back tab with predrilled hole swings upward, making placement of the house against a wall, post, or fence easy. The generous, rectangular base can also accommodate a mounting plate (not included) for display on a pole or post. Crafted from wood and finished with water based paints, this Holiday Ski Chalet Bird House will remain stylish and functional throughout the winter season, or look beautiful as an addition to an indoor holiday village. Brighten your yard and celebrate winter year round with this newly designed Holiday Ski Chalet Bird House with LEDs.

Note: Climate and the elements will weather this Holiday Ski Chalet Bird House and change its appearance over time; however, weathering will add to the item's natural charm without compromising its function. Should you want to preserve the finish (paint) of this Holiday Ski Chalet Bird House, you should cover it with several layers of a polyurethane product that is recommended for marine use (UV Rated) that will not turn the white paint yellow. You should expect that once left outside, the item will weather and require refinishing.

Frequently asked questions

What is this made from?

The exact materials for this piece are listed in the specifications above. Across the range we use untreated cedar, kiln-dried hardwood, metal, ceramic, glass, recycled cotton and preserved moss. A few designs — window feeders and the recycled-plastic range — do use plastic, and where they do it is stated on the product page.

Will it look exactly like the photo?

Images are representative. Our range comes from a number of independent workshops and suppliers, so an item may occasionally differ slightly from the photo in finish, grain, colour or small details. Natural wood and hand-finished pieces are never identical to one another. We are bringing more of the range into our own inventory to reduce this. If what arrives is not what you expected, email support@birdlover.store — returns are free for 30 days.

How does shipping work?

Shipping is free on every order, to all 28 countries in our delivery zone — you will see whether yours is covered at checkout. The range comes from a number of different small workshops and suppliers, so dispatch times vary from piece to piece, and items in the same order may arrive separately. We would rather not quote a delivery window we cannot keep, so we do not: you will get tracking by email as soon as your order ships.

Can I leave it outside all year?

Nearly everything here is built for year-round outdoor use — check the specifications above if you are unsure about a particular piece. Untreated wood will silver and weather over time; that is normal and does not affect how it works.

What if it is not right?

Return it within 30 days of delivery for a refund, for any reason. Return shipping is free — email support@birdlover.store and we will send you a prepaid return label. If it arrived damaged or we sent the wrong item, send a photo and we will put it right straight away. Refunds are issued within 5–7 business days of the item reaching us. EU customers also have a 14-day right of withdrawal.
