About Birdlover

Who we are

Birdlover is an independent online store built on one belief — the birds in your garden deserve better. Better homes. Better feeders. Better materials. And you deserve products that are as good to look at as they are to use.

We got tired of the same mass-produced plastic feeders everywhere, so we went looking for something different and found it in the hands of skilled artisans. Most of what we sell is made by hand in small workshops. Alongside that we stock a small range of bird box cameras, because watching a nest from inside is something no handmade object can give you.

What we sell

The heart of the range is handcrafted bird feeders, birdhouses and bird baths made from natural materials:

  • Cedar wood — naturally weather-resistant, chemical-free, and beautiful
  • Recycled cotton — giving textile waste a second life
  • Natural moss — real insulation and a woodland look
  • Reclaimed wood — carrying history and character in every grain
  • Handwoven grass and willow — organic, breathable, bird-friendly
  • Handmade pottery, stone, glass and copper — durable and one of a kind

We also sell bird box and feeder cameras. These are manufactured electronics, not handmade, and we don't pretend otherwise — they're there because they let you see something you otherwise never would.

Prices run from around $20 for smaller pieces to $300+ for premium statement birdhouses, with something at most points in between.

What we care about

Craft where it counts. The birdhouses, feeders and baths in our handcrafted range are made by hand by individual artisans and small workshops. Where a product is handmade, the product page says so. Where it isn't, we say that too.

Natural materials. Most of the range uses natural, recycled or reclaimed materials, chosen to be safe near bird food and nesting areas. A few designs — the acrylic window feeders and the recycled-plastic range — do use plastic, and the product page tells you when they do.

Fair trade where it's certified. Some of our products carry fair trade certification, meaning the artisans who made them were paid fairly and worked in safe conditions. Where a product is certified, it says so in the title or description.

Built to last. Everything in the range is made for outdoor use — designed to weather storms, age well, and serve birds season after season.

Our promise

We stand behind everything we sell. If something isn't right, we'll make it right. Return anything within 30 days of delivery for a refund — and if it arrived damaged or we sent the wrong thing, we cover the return postage.

Shipping is free on every order, worldwide. Because our range comes from a number of different workshops and suppliers, delivery takes 7–15 business days to the US and 12–25 to the rest of the world, and items in one order may arrive separately. We'd rather tell you that up front than surprise you.
