Bring a little Disney magic to the garden with the BIRDLOVER Handcrafted Disney Licensed Mickey Mouse Cottage Wooden Birdhouse. It is a 9.5-inch painted wooden cottage in Mickey's red, white and black, with Mickey on the front porch, a Mickey-ear entrance, a red flower window box and side shutters with Mickey-ear cutouts. It works as a real nest box outdoors and looks just as good on a collector's shelf, which makes it an easy gift for a Disney fan who also loves birds. Free shipping & 30-day returns.

Why Disney Fans & Backyard Birders Love It

  • Officially licensed Disney keepsake: Mickey welcomes visitors from the front porch, the nest entrance is shaped like the Mickey-ear silhouette, and the red louvered shutters carry white Mickey-ear cutouts.
  • A working nest box: painted solid wood under a black shingled gable roof, with a rear clean-out door so you can empty out old nesting material at the end of each season. Made for small cavity nesters such as House Wrens, Carolina Wrens and Black-capped Chickadees.
  • Mounts on a post, fence or tree: a wooden mounting paddle on the back screws to a garden post, fence or tree trunk. Or keep it indoors as a display piece.

Where to Put It

Mount it 5–10 ft up, near shrubs or small trees that give wrens and chickadees cover, and away from busy feeders. Point the entrance away from the prevailing wind. If you have house sparrows nearby, mount it away from buildings, where they are less likely to move in. Clean it out once the young have fledged so it is ready for the next brood.

Painted Wood Outdoors

The paint will weather over time in full sun and rain, as painted wood does. A spot with some shade helps it keep its colour, and a clear outdoor sealant on the outside walls and roof (never inside the box) adds protection. Bring it in over winter if you want to keep it looking new.

Frequently asked questions

What is this made from?

The exact materials for this piece are listed in the specifications above. Across the range we use untreated cedar, kiln-dried hardwood, metal, ceramic, glass, recycled cotton and preserved moss. A few designs — window feeders and the recycled-plastic range — do use plastic, and where they do it is stated on the product page.

Will it look exactly like the photo?

Images are representative. Our range comes from a number of independent workshops and suppliers, so an item may occasionally differ slightly from the photo in finish, grain, colour or small details. Natural wood and hand-finished pieces are never identical to one another. We are bringing more of the range into our own inventory to reduce this. If what arrives is not what you expected, email support@birdlover.store — returns are free for 30 days.

How does shipping work?

Shipping is free on every order, to all 28 countries in our delivery zone — you will see whether yours is covered at checkout. The range comes from a number of different small workshops and suppliers, so dispatch times vary from piece to piece, and items in the same order may arrive separately. We would rather not quote a delivery window we cannot keep, so we do not: you will get tracking by email as soon as your order ships.

Can I leave it outside all year?

Nearly everything here is built for year-round outdoor use — check the specifications above if you are unsure about a particular piece. Untreated wood will silver and weather over time; that is normal and does not affect how it works.

What if it is not right?

Return it within 30 days of delivery for a refund, for any reason. Return shipping is free — email support@birdlover.store and we will send you a prepaid return label. If it arrived damaged or we sent the wrong item, send a photo and we will put it right straight away. Refunds are issued within 5–7 business days of the item reaching us. EU customers also have a 14-day right of withdrawal.
