A wooden front and back panel complete the item, and a 1.125" diameter opening on the front allows small birds to access the shelter. The generous roof slightly overhangs the entry, keeping rain out of the unit, and drainage holes on the base allow any captured water to exit. Remove the metal plate on the back of the shelter to seasonally clean it using its 2" diameter opening here. A metal wire on the top of the piece makes it simple to hang from a bracket or branch, and the aged green tone on the unit meshes with your garden.
