Crafted from cedar, the home withstands exposure to the elements for many seasons, and the roof overhangs this entry to keep the nest dry. The generous slot not only allows bluebirds to use the home; it also provides plenty of ventilation for nestlings. A gap on the base of the unit drains any captured water, and the front panel opens downward for nest checks. Insert the included metal peg into the hole near the top of this panel to keep it in place during nesting season. Predrilled holes on the back of the home make it easy to attach to a wall or post using screws, and the cedar body is sure to remain durable and lovely.
