Celebrate nautical beauty with Texas charm as you welcome songbirds to your backyard with this amazing Home Bazaar South Padre Island Lifeguard Shack with Texas Flag. This hardy, decorative domicile features paraphernalia and embellishments that provide birds with adequate housing while reminding you of South Padre Island Beach and scenic, seaside beauty. This two story dwelling sports wooden shingles for realism and natural charm, and the vibrant, red tone of the shack lends outstanding coloration and beachside appeal. A Texas flag adorns the railing of the unit to call attention to the fantastic heritage of the "Lonestar State", while miniature surfboard and life preserver figures hang from the wall and ceiling of the upper level to round out the lifeguard theme. The all-white railing pairs with white windows and doors to create fantastic contrast against the bright red hue of the walls, and a sloped, red ladder connects the spacious, tan base of the unit to the upper level for eye-catching realism and enchantment. The 1.25" square entrance hole on the shack's front accommodates a wealth of smaller songbirds, such as wrens and finches, as they flock to this scenic home for a safe and reliable shelter. A hole in the base helps maintain a clean and dry shelter, and the tall structure allows warm air to exit through the opening, and the back panel may be removed in moments to carry out cleanings and nest checks. An attached hanging paddle lets you easily showcase this striking, durable home, or the flat base may be mounted to a post for variable display using a mounting bracket (not included). Create a stunning display of state pride with a nod to beachside wonder while housing birds with this South Padre Island Lifeguard Shack with Texas Flag.

Note: Climate and the elements will weather this South Padre Island Lifeguard Shack and change its appearance over time; however, weathering will add to the item's natural charm without compromising its function. Should you want to preserve the finish (paint) of this house, you should cover it with several layers of a polyurethane product that is recommended for marine use (UV Rated). You should expect that once left outside, the item will weather and require refinishing.

Frequently asked questions

What is this made from?

The exact materials for this piece are listed in the specifications above. Across the range we use untreated cedar, kiln-dried hardwood, metal, ceramic, glass, recycled cotton and preserved moss. A few designs — window feeders and the recycled-plastic range — do use plastic, and where they do it is stated on the product page.

Will it look exactly like the photo?

Images are representative. Our range comes from a number of independent workshops and suppliers, so an item may occasionally differ slightly from the photo in finish, grain, colour or small details. Natural wood and hand-finished pieces are never identical to one another. We are bringing more of the range into our own inventory to reduce this. If what arrives is not what you expected, email support@birdlover.store — returns are free for 30 days.

How does shipping work?

Shipping is free on every order, to all 28 countries in our delivery zone — you will see whether yours is covered at checkout. The range comes from a number of different small workshops and suppliers, so dispatch times vary from piece to piece, and items in the same order may arrive separately. We would rather not quote a delivery window we cannot keep, so we do not: you will get tracking by email as soon as your order ships.

Can I leave it outside all year?

Nearly everything here is built for year-round outdoor use — check the specifications above if you are unsure about a particular piece. Untreated wood will silver and weather over time; that is normal and does not affect how it works.

What if it is not right?

Return it within 30 days of delivery for a refund, for any reason. Return shipping is free — email support@birdlover.store and we will send you a prepaid return label. If it arrived damaged or we sent the wrong item, send a photo and we will put it right straight away. Refunds are issued within 5–7 business days of the item reaching us. EU customers also have a 14-day right of withdrawal.
