The Brighton Beach Huts Bird House. A beach hut is a small, usually wooden and often brightly colored structure built above the high tide mark on popular bathing beaches generally used for storage, as a shelter and for changing into and out of bathing suits. Some beach huts incorporate simple facilities for preparing food and hot drinks. Our Brighton Beach Huts Birdhouse features none of the above!

Offer a few birds an amusing summer roost with the Home Bazaar Brighton Beach Huts Bird House. This unit, reminiscent of beach shelters found near Coney Island in New York, is sure to add a whimsical, beachside hint to any garden. The crisp white, 17" long platform easily supports all three of these shelters, while the red, navy, white, and teal color scheme lends a nautical theme to the item. The individual, wooden roosts each sport different window shapes and colors, and the placement of the faux doors also varies for added interest and style. The included fabric flags and seagull figure affix to the top of the roosts for even more whimsy and drama. Wooden shingles top each pitched roof for a cohesive look, and a 1.125" diameter entry sits beneath the roof overhang for birds to easily enter the units. The roof protects the nests from rain, and a small hole on the base of the shelters provides drainage. The interior of each item remains unpainted so it is safe for birds, and a ladder beneath each entry hole helps them reach the exit when time to fly. A back panel on each home removes in moments for maintenance or nest checks, and ventilation gaps aid in regulating the internal temperature. A hanging tab on the back of the center house makes it simple to display against a wall or tree, or the Brighton Beach Huts Bird House can rest on a level surface indoors for a different accent. Place a mounting bracket (not included) on the bottom of the item to secure it onto a post or pole in your garden. The wooden construction offers birds a cozy roost, and the beadboard inspired siding furthers the theme. Help a few birds find a fun nesting area by adding this Brighton Beach Huts Bird House to your garden.

Note: Climate and the elements will weather this Brighton Beach Huts Bird House and change its appearance over time; however, weathering will add to the item's natural charm without compromising its function. Should you want to preserve the finish (paint) of this house, you should cover it with several layers of a polyurethane product that is recommended for marine use (UV Rated) that will not turn the white paint yellow. You should expect that once left outside, the item will weather and require refinishing.

Frequently asked questions

What is this made from?

The exact materials for this piece are listed in the specifications above. Across the range we use untreated cedar, kiln-dried hardwood, metal, ceramic, glass, recycled cotton and preserved moss. A few designs — window feeders and the recycled-plastic range — do use plastic, and where they do it is stated on the product page.

Will it look exactly like the photo?

Images are representative. Our range comes from a number of independent workshops and suppliers, so an item may occasionally differ slightly from the photo in finish, grain, colour or small details. Natural wood and hand-finished pieces are never identical to one another. We are bringing more of the range into our own inventory to reduce this. If what arrives is not what you expected, email support@birdlover.store — returns are free for 30 days.

How does shipping work?

Shipping is free on every order, to all 28 countries in our delivery zone — you will see whether yours is covered at checkout. The range comes from a number of different small workshops and suppliers, so dispatch times vary from piece to piece, and items in the same order may arrive separately. We would rather not quote a delivery window we cannot keep, so we do not: you will get tracking by email as soon as your order ships.

Can I leave it outside all year?

Nearly everything here is built for year-round outdoor use — check the specifications above if you are unsure about a particular piece. Untreated wood will silver and weather over time; that is normal and does not affect how it works.

What if it is not right?

Return it within 30 days of delivery for a refund, for any reason. Return shipping is free — email support@birdlover.store and we will send you a prepaid return label. If it arrived damaged or we sent the wrong item, send a photo and we will put it right straight away. Refunds are issued within 5–7 business days of the item reaching us. EU customers also have a 14-day right of withdrawal.
